Victoria Kayak Tour & ColdCard Giveaway!

**Event**: Join us on Sunday afternoon at 1:30pm on June 11th for a guided kayak tour in Victoria’s beautiful inner harbour! We are partnering with Victoria Kayak, a locally-owned kayak tour & rentals company that promotes Bitcoin through education on its website and by accepting Bitcoin payments at a significant discount!
No kayaking (or Bitcoining) experience required!
**Where We’ll Start**: Meet at 1pm sharp at Victoria Kayak’s main office, located on Miner’s Landing right next to Red Fish Blue Fish. Address: 1006 Wharf Street (Floating), Victoria, B.C. V8W 1T4, Phone: 250-216-5646.
**Where We’ll Go:** We will visit Seal Island at the entrance to the harbour -OR- travel up the Gorge both options being equally exciting. On our kayak adventure, we will be greeted by harbour seals, great blue herons, and if really, really lucky an Orca whale.
**Afterparty & ColdCard Giveaway**: Following the kayak tour, join the group for food & drinks at a nearby restaurant or pub (venue TBD), where we’ll be giving away one FREE Mk3 ColdCard Bitcoin hardware wallet by Coinkite plus a T-shirt from Bull Bitcoin!
**Event** **Price**: Because we will be paying in Bitcoin, the price-per-person is only 116,820 sats (approx. $43.50 CAD at time of writing). The standard price for this tour is $99 CAD. The price covers:
-your kayak rental
-group guide
-gratuity
**Deposit & RSVP Required**: To reserve your spot, you must do the following by no later than 1:30pm, June 4th (one week prior):
1. DM us on Meetup, Twitter (@btc_victoria), or by email: victoriabitcoiners@protonmail.com with a name and a means to contact you (in case we need to refund deposits, etc).
2. Pay the deposit.
a) If you pay in Bitcoin, the deposit is 50,000 sats per person, payable via Lightning to:

PLEASE PUT YOUR NAME IN THE MESSAGE FIELD or DM us the time of your invoice payment so we can keep track of who has paid.
b) If necessary, you can pay in 50,000 sats on-chain to:

c) If you aren’t ready yet to pay in Bitcoin, you are welcome to DM us with questions! Or, you can send us a deposit of $25 CAD in cash (at a meetup) or via interact etransfer (to victoriabitcoiners@protonmail.com). We will convert the CAD to BTC at market rates plus <10%.
The balance of fees can be paid the day-of at Victoria Kayak's main office. Deposits are refundable for any reason prior to 1:30pm June 4th. After that, deposits are refundable only if we are able to obtain a refund from Victoria Kayak.
