Harlem Bitcoin Community Meetup .00000003 #BitcoinPizzaDay 🍕🍕

May 22 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Celebrate Bitcoin Pizza Day with us on Sunday, May 22nd!

On May 22, 2010, a computer programmer and bitcoin miner Laszlo Hanyecz agreed to pay 10,000 bitcoins for two Papa John’s pizzas to be delivered.

At the time, bitcoin had no monetary value. At a total price of $41, that essentially valued bitcoin at $0.0041, or four-thousandths of a penny! Today, bitcoin is trading in the range of $40,000, meaning those 10,000 bitcoins would now be worth about $400,000,000!

But what if this transaction had never happened?

Join us for a presentation and discussion that scratches the surface of bitcoin, a technological innovation that is changing the world and challenging our assumptions about what money is and can be.

The Harlem Bitcoin Community was established to help provide knowledge and education about bitcoin and its transformative potential.

Learn why bitcoin is too important to ignore.
Understand the risks involved with holding and using bitcoin.
Discover what peer-to-peer money not controlled by banks or countries has to offer the world.

We hope to see you there!

Please note: Harlem Bitcoin Community does not provide financial advice. It is recommended that you consult a certified public accountant with any questions regarding the tax implications of buying and selling bitcoin.
