A Bitcoin Meetup Event
Join us for our next Bitcoin only (not crypto) meetup event.
The Bealey Quarter, 263 Bealey Avenue, Christchurch 2pm, March 25th, 2023.
Bitcoin is for everyone! This event is for anyone interested in bitcoin, at all levels of knowledge and interest.
From technical and knowledgeable bitcoiners looking to discuss in-depth with others or collaborate on projects, to those brand new to bitcoin and wanting to learn about it and ask questions, and everyone in between.
We will have a lightning network system set up to purchase beer/wine/non-alcoholic beverages with bitcoin (you can still pay the old way as well though!). Come and see how the lightning network operates!
We also have two NZ Bitcoin educators attending, who will be giving short Bitcoin sessions during the event.
3pm: Introduction to Bitcoin: What is Money? – Rob Clarkson
Designed for beginners to learn about money, what it is, its history, and how that ties into Bitcoin.
4.30pm: Technical introduction to Bitcoin: Wallets – Brandon Bucher
Designed for bitcoiners to further their technical understanding of Bitcoin wallets: What they are, the different types, and how to use them.
